First Assistant Attorney - Criminal Prosecution

Jill Justice is the First Assistant Warren County Attorney. She is a 1996 graduate of Western Kentucky University, where she majored in History and Government and Print Journalism, with a minor in English Writing. She obtained her J.D. from the University of Kentucky in 1999. Jill has been an Assistant Warren County Attorney since June 2000 and has been the First Assistant since April 2004. Jill is the director of criminal prosecutions.

Leslie Wayne Bucklew graduated from Warren Central High School, earned a Bachelor of Arts from Western Kentucky University, and a law degree from the University of Kentucky College of Law. He has been practicing law since 1995 and has been an Assistant County Attorney with the Warren County Attorney’s Office since 2000. His areas of practice include employment law, family law, criminal prosecution, and conflict resolution.

Assistant Attorney - Family Court Prosecution, Child Support Enforcement, and Delinquent Tax Collection

Rebecca Gibson is a native of Bowling Green, Kentucky. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree and a Master’s Degree from Western Kentucky University. She is a graduate of the Southern Illinois University, School of Law. She served as a Public Defender before joining the Warren County Attorney’s Office in June of 2004. She has been a District Court Prosecutor and is now a Family Court Prosecutor. Her areas of practice include family law, child support enforcement, and delinquent tax collection.

Jamie Spinks Meredith is a native of Oakland, Kentucky, where she still lives on her family’s grain farm with her husband and daughters. She graduated from Warren East High School, earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from Western Kentucky University, and received her Juris Doctor from the Louis D. Brandeis School of Law at the University of Louisville. Since September 2007, Jamie has worked as an Assistant Warren County Attorney.  Her primary focus is prosecuting misdemeanor and traffic offenses, child support enforcement, and juvenile public offense prosecution.

Sarah Steen Bessinger

Assistant Attorney - Criminal Prosecution, County Civil Matters

Sarah Steen Bessinger is a native of Bowling Green, Kentucky. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Western Kentucky University in 2011 and a Juris Doctor from Northern Kentucky University in 2015. Sarah has been an Assistant County Attorney since 2015 where she focuses her practice on criminal prosecution and county-related civil matters.

James “Blake” Hornal was born here in Warren County and has lived here most of his life. He claims Rockfield as his home community and graduated from Warren Central High School. He obtained his Bachelor’s of Architecture from the University of Kentucky before deciding to pursue a career in law. He returned to Warren County within a couple of years of graduating from law school to be close to family, deciding that Warren County is an awesome place to settle down. He joined our office after years in the private sector where he practiced in a variety of legal fields. He primarily handles prosecutorial duties in Warren District Court, III.

Lawson Lambert

Lawson Lambert graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Education from Western Kentucky University, and received his Juris Doctor from the Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, DC. After previous careers including teaching, Lawson has practiced law since 2017. Since January 2022, Lawson has worked as an Assistant Warren County Attorney. His primary role is prosecuting misdemeanor, traffic and juvenile offenses in Warren County District Court, Division II.
